Meet the Star Therapy team

Star Therapy Services was founded in 2022
with a clear purpose:

to offer personalised, person-centred Occupational Therapy that truly puts people first.
After years of working in larger organisations, we wanted to create something different—a service that values deep connection, genuine care, and a clear understanding of the funding systems we work within.

What began as a solo venture focused on supporting older adults receiving Home Care Packages has steadily grown. As demand increased and providers came to know and trust our approach, our team naturally expanded. In 2023, Jody joined to support clients in Perth’s south. Sharna came on board in early 2024, bringing extensive experience in older adults, dementia care, and residential settings. Later that year, Emma joined the team with a strong background in NDIS, progressive neurological conditions, assistive technology, and community-based care.

Today, we are a small, close-knit team of four experienced Occupational Therapists, working with both aged care and adult NDIS clients. Our focus remains the same: providing meaningful, personalised support to help people live independently, confidently, and with dignity in their own homes.

Ebony Doyle
Director & Occupational Therapist

Ebony is a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist who brings both experience and heart to her work. Since 2014, she has supported people across the lifespan in disability, workplace rehabilitation, and aged care sectors—with a strong passion for helping older adults stay safe and independent in their own homes.

Ebony takes a holistic, person-centred approach and especially enjoys the variety of community-based work, where she gets a real glimpse into her clients’ daily lives and what matters most to them.

Outside of work, Ebony is a mum-to-be, an early bird, and an interior design enthusiast who loves a good Pinterest scroll with a chai latte in hand. She shares her home with her trusty sidekick Panda—a black and white tuxedo cat who’s been by her side since her uni days—and if she’s not curled up binge-watching Bridgerton or dreaming up house plans, you’ll find her indulging in sweet treats at Last Crumb or squeezing in a Pilates session.

Sharna Brookes
Occupational Therapist

Sharna is a grounded, warm, and curious Occupational Therapist who brings genuine care and creativity to her practice.

She has a strong background in aged care and dementia support and finds real joy in helping people reconnect with their daily routines and sense of independence. Known for her thoughtful approach and quiet humour, Sharna loves building meaningful connections with the clients and families she supports.

Outside of work, she’s firmly in her nana era—crocheting, knitting, and crafting whenever she can—but don’t be fooled, she’s also a big fan of escape rooms and problem-solving fun.

Sharna shares her home with a labradoodle and a cat and finds comfort in slow mornings, peppermint tea, and small, mindful moments.

Jody Milligan
Occupational Therapist

Jody is a kind, calm, and compassionate Occupational Therapist who brings a gentle presence and thoughtful care to every client she supports.

Originally from the UK, she brings both life and professional experience to her work with older adults and adults living with disability.

With a naturally peaceful energy and a deeply person-centred approach, Jody is passionate about helping people feel safe, confident, and empowered in their own homes.

When she’s not out on visits or writing up detailed reports, Jody is a busy mum to two boys and proud fur mum to a lovable labrador.

She’s all about balance—whether that’s in her work, her family life, or finding small pockets of calm in a full and joyful home.

Rebekah Douglas
Occupational Therapist

Rebekah is an Occupational Therapist who brings warmth, humour, and a practical mindset to her work. Originally from Ireland and having worked in the UK, she has practised as an OT across three different countries, giving her a broad and adaptable approach to supporting clients. Inspired by the impact an Occupational Therapist had on her nanny growing up, Rebekah has always been drawn to a career that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives. With a strong interest in mental health and aged care, she supports clients to build independence while feeling genuinely heard and understood.

Known for being trustworthy, funny, and full of good advice, Rebekah takes a down-to-earth, problem-solving approach to help clients find realistic, practical solutions that fit into their everyday lives.

Outside of work, Rebekah is usually on the move — running, at the gym, camping with her partner, or exploring new coffee spots (currently in her matcha era). She’s an early bird who enjoys winding down with a good book or documentary, and if there’s something sweet involved, even better.

Rachael Everett
Occupational Therapist

Rachael is an Occupational Therapist driven by a genuine desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. With experience in paediatrics and community aged care, she brings compassion, creativity, and a strong problem-solving mindset to every client she supports.

As both a therapist and a parent, Rachael naturally applies her OT skills to daily life, adapting and grading tasks for her two children, aged two and twelve. Her friends describe her as kind, organised, and reliable — qualities reflected in the care she provides to clients and families.

Outside of work, Rachael balances staying active through exercise with enjoying quiet moments on the porch with a cup of tea and a good book. On weekends, she’s usually being lovingly bossed around by her toddler or tackling the weekly grocery shop — with ice cream never far from reach.
